Flag Day Inspired Nailart With Easy Tutorial

I love when I wake up in the morning and find that there have been U.S.A. Flags placed up and down our streets! See how pretty they look!

There are perks to being on Main Street! I usually have two flags in front of my house but I think a new person placed them this morning and accidentally did two at my neighbors :)

There are perks to being on Main Street! I usually have two flags in front of my house but I think a new person placed them this morning and accidentally did two at my neighbors–I’ll forgive them :)I also added some cute red, white and blue ribbons to my porch that I can leave up till after July 24th for Pioneer Days!

According to Wikipedia, in the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened on that day in 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. The United States Army also celebrates the Army Birthday on this date; Congress adopted “the American continental army” after reaching a consensus position in the Committee of the Whole on June 14, 1775.

In honor of beloved Flag and our great country that we live in I did some fun Red, White, and Blue nails today. I used CND Vinylux Wildfire (red), Cream Puff (white), and Midnight Swim (navy blue) with OPI Which is Witch (sparkles). I used a thin striping brush to do the stripes and blue square and a stylus (dotter) to do the stars. For the glitter ombre, I piled a bunch of the glitter on the tip of my nail, wiped the brush off on the bottle clean, and then drug it down my nail till I reached the effect I was looking for. It works well to use a makeup sponge for this technique but I was lazy and didn’t feel like searching for a sponge! 🙂 The possibilites are endless with this design–you could add polka dots to the red and blue nails or some silver star stamping would be fun too! Let me know if you have any questions! You still have till the end of the day to enter my Vinylux contest! Click HERE to find out how to enter.
